What is Our Story?

Lila was born from a desire to bridge the gap between tradition and modern living. Rooted in the timeless art of hand-block printing and handloom weaving, our journey began with a simple yet powerful idea: to honor craftsmanship and bring authentic, high-quality pieces to a market saturated with fast fashion, waste, and mass production. Each product tells a story of skilled artisans, sustainable practices, and a commitment to preserving cultural heritage. At Lila, every stitch and print is a celebration of artistry, tradition, and a deeper connection to the roots of creation.

Behind the Scenes

Step 1

Skilled artisans begin by selecting a piece of Sheesham wood, which is then smoothed and coated with a white paste to provide a clear surface for design transfer. The desired pattern is traced onto the wood, and craftsmen use small hammers, chisels, and drills to intricately carve the design, creating a raised motif that will later transfer ink onto the fabric.
